Back in October of 2016, the fashion and clothing company LuLaRoe threw it back to the 90s during their Fall leadership conference, “By Design”, for their consultants. We, Props AV, provided all of the lighting and audio visual installation for their 90s themed Throwback Grad Nite Kick Off Party. The party was held inside the gym of Anaheim’s Canyon Hills High School, which is where we transformed the space from a normal gym into a totally radical party.
Nostalgia filled the air as LuLaRoe’s leadership consultants walked through the halls of Canyon Hills High School and entered the festivities of the night. Before arriving in the gym, everyone walked through the outside quad which we decked out with white furniture, glowing cocktail tables, market lights and hundreds of battery powered Eternal Lighting MK2 EchoIcons.
Thanks to the use of the Matrox TripleHead2Go DisplayPort, we were able to projection map the front of the gym with flashback imagery such as Saved by the Bell clips and actual photos of LuLaRoe consultants from when they were in high school. Along with the projection mapping, on the inside of the gym we assembled a truss line with several American DJ Pro Par LED Uplights, Elation Platinum HFX lights and Chauvet NXT-1s that spelt out LuLaRoe in vibrant colors. So as soon as everyone walked into the gym, they were immediately taken back in time and were ready to dance and sing the night away. Yes, that’s right, sing! Not only was there dancing, but there also was Karaoke that took place on stage while the lyrics were projected onto 16:9 projection screens.
Gwen Marlowe Foods and Catering catered the event with amazing cuisine and live food stations. Then DJ Dubdee, David Devaney, kept the party going with fun throwback songs all night long.
